AirMakks SSB Brakes
Air Cooled, Spring-Set Air Release Brake
The AirMaKKs SSB is designed to provide low speed braking assistance in applications including conveyors, cranes and drawworks where they serve as a main brake that provides both parking and E-stop braking functions.
AirMaKKs SSB models utilize the basic, easy-to-maintain, pin-style, modular design of AquaMaKKs including the brake housing with torque plates installed instead of water jackets. Models are available in the 19, 25, 36 & 48 inch AquaMaKKs sizes.

AquaMakks Water Cooled Clutches & Brakes
AquaMaKKs water cooled clutches and brakes are designed to provide accurate torque control for heavy-duty tensioning applications.
AquaMakks™ clutches and brakes are pneumatically or hydraulically controlled and water cooled. They consist of a series of alternating friction discs and water jackets. Torque is transmitted by applying axial force from the pneumatic, hydraulic, or spring set actuator. Copper wear plates are used for excellent heat dissipation. Models are available in 19", 25", and 36" diameter sizes. Torque ranges from 55,440 in.lb. @ 80 PSI to 1,596,000 in.lbs. @ 100 PSI.

CBA Clutch Brakes
The Model CBA is an oil immersed, combination clutch/brake, utilizing a self-contained cooling oil pumping system. It is a quill-mounted unit that may be used for either end of shaft or through-shaft designs. The Model CBA is designed to be compatible and complementary to our dry units.

CCB – Combination Clutch-Brake

LKT Clutch or Brake
The Model LKT clutch or brake contains identical features to the Model LK units with the exception being the cylinder piston arrangement. Whereas the Model LK unit has a full cylinder covering its entire outboard end, the Model LKT has a doughnut type cylinder which allows it to be mounted in a through-shaft arrangement as an air set brake. The design incorporates an extremely low driven inertia and the quickest response with minimal air consumption of any clutch or brake available. It is particularly suited to those applications requiring frequent cycling and long life such as is found in metal forming or indexing applications.

Mesur-Fil Fluid Couplings
Soft Start and/or Over Load Protection
Known in the past as Simplatrol, Formsprag or Mesur-Fil, the smaller size 7.0, 9.4 and the 12.4 size fluid couplings are manufactured in Wichita Falls, TX.
These are available for electric motors from ½ HP to 50HP that operate at speeds as low as 500 RPM and as high as 3600 RPM. During start-up the fluid coupling will reduce the current draw on your electric motor by 33%.
